김 예비후보는 8일 포항시에 위치한 대한노년자원봉사회를 찾아 어르신 자원봉사자들을 격려한 데 이어, 영천시장 후보인 김섭, 김병삼 사무실을 차례로 방문하며 지역 정치권과의 접점을 넓혔다.
이날 오전 대한노년자원봉사회를 찾은 김 예비후보는 지역 어르신 봉사자들의 헌신에 감사를 전하고, 고령사회 대응에 있어 자원봉사의 역할과 중요성을 강조했다. 또한 어르신들의 사회 참여 확대와 복지 향상을 위한 정책적 지원 필요성에 공감하며 현장의 다양한 의견을 청취했다.
김 예비후보는 “어르신들의 경험과 지혜는 지역사회의 소중한 자산”이라며 “노년층의 활발한 사회 참여를 뒷받침할 수 있는 실질적인 정책을 마련해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이어 오후에는 경산시로 이동해 국민의힘 경산시 당원협의회를 방문, 당원들과 간담회를 갖고 지역 현안과 당의 발전 방향에 대해 의견을 나눴다. 이 자리에서 김 예비후보는 당원들의 목소리를 경청하며 조직 강화와 민생 중심 정치 실현을 위한 협력을 당부했다.
김 예비후보는 “현장의 목소리를 직접 듣고 정책에 반영하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “도민과 당원이 체감할 수 있는 변화를 만들어가기 위해 더욱 낮은 자세로 소통하겠다”고 강조했다.
한편 김 예비후보는 앞으로도 경북 전역을 순회하며 도민과의 접점을 넓히는 현장 중심 행보를 지속해 나갈 계획이다.
