대구대는 사업이 처음 시작된 2018년 이후 올해까지 9년 연속 주관 대학에 선정되며, 교육 복지 분야에서 지속적인 성과를 이어가고 있다.
‘파란사다리 사업’은 경제적·사회적 취약계층 대학생에게 해외 연수 기회를 제공해 글로벌 역량을 강화하고 진로 개척을 지원하기 위한 대표적인 교육 복지 프로그램이다.
이번 선정으로 대구대는 본교생을 포함해 대구·경북 지역 타 대학 학생까지 총 60명을 선발한다. 선발된 학생들은 여름방학 기간 4주간 캐나다, 영국, 필리핀 등 영어권 국가의 대학에 파견돼 어학연수와 문화 체험, 진로 탐색 프로그램 등에 참여하게 된다.
연수에 필요한 항공료와 숙식비, 교육비 등은 국고와 대학이 전액 지원해 학생들의 경제적 부담을 최소화할 예정이다.
박순진 총장은 “경제적 여건이 학생들의 도전과 꿈을 제한하는 장벽이 되어서는 안 된다”며 “9년 연속 사업을 운영하는 만큼 학생들이 세계 무대에서 자신감을 키우고 글로벌 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu University (President Park Soon-jin) has been selected as the host university for the ‘2026 Blue Ladder Project,’ organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
Having been selected as the host university for nine consecutive years, including this year, since the project first began in 2018, Daegu University continues to achieve sustained results in the field of educational welfare.
The ‘Blue Ladder Project’ is a representative educational welfare program designed to strengthen global competencies and support career development for university students from economically and socially vulnerable groups by providing them with opportunities for overseas training.
With this selection, Daegu University will select a total of 60 students, including its own students and students from other universities in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions. The selected students will be dispatched to universities in English-speaking countries, such as Canada, the UK, and the Philippines, for four weeks during the summer vacation to participate in language training, cultural experiences, and career exploration programs.
Airfare, accommodation, meals, and tuition fees required for the training will be fully covered by the government and the university to minimize the financial burden on students.
President Park Soon-jin stated, “Economic circumstances should not become a barrier that limits students’ challenges and dreams,” adding, “As we have been operating this program for nine consecutive years, we will actively support students so that they can build confidence on the world stage and grow into global talents.”
