교육현장 갈등 해소 및 신뢰 회복 위해 한국노총 대전본부와 손잡아
중앙노동위 경험 바탕으로 ‘현장 중심 교육행정’ 구현 다짐
맹수석 대전시교육감 예비후보가 교육 현장의 노동 가치를 바로 세우고 교육행정의 체질을 개선하기 위해 한국노동조합총연맹 대전지역본부(이하 한국노총)와 정책 연대를 시작했다.
맹 예비후보는 14일 한국노총 대전지역본부 김용복 의장과 함께 ‘노동 존중 교육환경 조성 및 교육행정 혁신을 위한 정책 협약’을 체결했다. 이번 협약식에는 이윤경 대전교사노조 위원장과 채정일 대전교육청공무원노조 위원장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석해 교육 공동체의 권익 보호를 위한 실질적인 협력 방안을 논의했다.
이번 협약은 단순한 선언적 의미를 넘어 교육 현장 구성원들이 체감할 수 있는 구체적인 정책 이행을 목표로 한다. 주요 협약 내용으로는 교원과 행정직, 교육공무직 간의 명확한 역할 정립 및 상호 존중 기반의 업무 체계 구축이 포함됐다.
또한 직무 특성을 반영한 공정한 보수 체계 마련과 처우 개선, 학교 지원 체계 강화를 통한 교무 행정 업무 경감, 맞춤형 복지 확대 등 근무 여건을 획기적으로 개선하는 방안이 담겼다.
이 밖에도 안전한 교육 환경 조성과 지역사회 연계를 통한 교육의 공공성 강화, 노정 협력을 통한 정책 참여 보장 등 대전 교육의 구조적 변화를 위한 7대 과제를 함께 추진하기로 했다.
한국노총 김용복 의장은 맹 후보에 대해 “노동 존중과 교육 공공성 강화라는 시대적 요구를 정책에 잘 담아냈다”고 평가하며, 현장의 목소리를 정책으로 구현할 가장 적합한 인물이라는 판단 아래 이번 협약을 결정했다고 밝혔다.
맹 후보는 중앙노동위원회 공익위원으로 활동하며 노사 간의 복잡한 이해관계를 조정해 온 자신의 이력을 강조했다. 그는 “풍부한 갈등 조정 경험을 바탕으로 학교 현장의 불필요한 마찰을 줄이고 신뢰를 회복하는 데 행정력을 집중하겠다”며 ‘현장 중심 교육행정’에 대한 강한 의지를 보였다.
