산청군, 생생국가유산사업 본격 추진

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 산청군은 16일부터 ‘2026년 생생국가유산사업 목화야 놀자’ 프로그램을 본격 운영한다고 밝혔다.

8년 연속 선정된 국가유산청 공모사업 일환으로 실시하는 이번 프로그램은 목면시배 유지, 도천서원 및 목화체험관 일원에서 국가유산의 가치와 의미를 재조명하고 체험형 프로그램을 통해 지역 문화유산을 보다 친숙하게 접할 수 있도록 기획했다.

매주 목요일 진행하는 ‘목화 이야기’를 비롯해 목화 재배 과정을 보드게임으로 구성한 ‘문익점 생생로드’, 지역 어르신들의 경험과 삶의 지혜를 기록하는 ‘무명에 새긴 이야기’, 목화 도입과 무명베짜기 과정을 가상현실(VR), 증강현실(AR)로 체험할 수 있는 ‘찾아가는 VR·AR 체험관’등 총 4가지 프로그램을 운영한다.

특히 올해 처음으로 선보이는 ‘무명에 새긴 이야기’는 고령의 주민을 중심으로 전승돼 온 무명베짜기라는 소중한 자산이 소멸되지 않도록 체계적으로 기록하고 콘텐츠화해 전통 기술의 보존과 계승에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

산청군 관계자는 “앞으로도 산청의 문화유산을 향유할 수 있는 기회를 더 많이 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
