6월 지방선거를 앞두고 여당의 지역구 대진표가 속속 완성되면서 충남 당진 지역의 선거 열기가 달아오르고 있다.
국민의힘 충남도당 공천관리위원회(이하 공관위)는 당내 경선을 통해 제9회 전국동시지방선거 기초의원 당진시 다 선거구에 출마할 후보자 2명을 최종 확정했다고 밝혔다.
이번 경선은 지난 13일 후보자 등록과 선거인단 명부 교부 절차를 마친 뒤, 당의 핵심 기반인 책임당원 선거인단 투표 100% 방식으로 공정하게 치러졌다.
공관위는 당원들의 투표 참여를 독려하기 위해 16일 한국전자투표 위탁 시스템을 통한 온라인 투표를 먼저 실시했으며, 이튿날인 17일에는 투표에 참여하지 못한 선거인단을 대상으로 ARS 투표를 진행해 당심을 꼼꼼히 반영했다.
