필자도 이미 9년 전에 이 면허증을 교부받아, 여름철이면 청평 댐 등에서 수상레저 활동을 해왔다. 필자는 수년 동안 지인이 소유한 요트도 타봤고, 모터보트도 타봤다. 호화 레저가 결코 아니다. 요트나 모터의 가격은 비싼, 또는 싼 자동차 값과 비슷하다. 우리나라가 3면이 바다인 점을 감안하면 이 레저의 확산은 자연스러운 일이다. 수상레저 인구의 증가는 국민 여가생활 건강 증진이라는 측면에서 권해야할 사안이기도 하다. 수상레저는 이미 일반화 되었다.
