김천대학교(총장 윤옥현) 사회복지전공(주임교수 이예종)이 국제제론테크놀로지 엑스포&포럼(IGEF 2021)의 협력기관으로 참여했다.
지난 10일과 11일 양일간 대구 EXCO에서 실시된 IGEF 2021은 온오프라인 실시간(메타버스) 방식으로 진행되었다.

제론테크놀로지는 노인을 위한 과학기술로서, 이번 행사는 쇼케이스, 강의, 포럼 등의 구성으로 COVID-19시대 스마트건강-돌봄&고령친화산업 DX동향, K-제론테크, 스마트 홈과 도시의 고령친화 디자인 전략 등의 주제를 다루었다.
이 가운데 김천대 사회복지전공 학생들과 대학원생들은 인턴 자격으로 포럼에 참여해 행사 진행과 운영을 도왔다.
뿐만 아니라 2022년 대구에서 개최되는 제13차 국제제론테크놀로지 세계대회(ISG 2022)의 협력기관으로 협약을 맺었다.
또한, 165개사 부스 300개를 마련해 참가한 '2021 대구 액티브시니어 박람회'도 견학하며 최신기술을 직접 경험하고 제론테크놀로지의 역할을 볼 수 있는 기회도 가졌다.
2017년부터 IGEF에 참여했던 김천대학교 사회문화대학원 사회복지전공 김명주 석사과정생은 “2017년 학부생으로 처음 참여하여 제론테크놀로지라는 새로운 분야를 접하고 동기부여가 많이 되어 지금은 복지재단의 사회복지사로 현장에서 활동하면서 석사과정생으로 학업을 이어가고 있다”면서 “특히, 후배들과 함께 할 수 있어 의미가 있었고, 내년 ISG 2022도 무척 기대된다.”고 소감을 전했다.
