경산시의회(의장 이기동)는 지방의회 인사권 독립을 기념하며 첫 임용장 수여식을 가졌다.
경산시는 지난 12일 의장실에서 지방자치법 전부개정에 따라 올해 1월 13일 자로 의회직으로 임용된 공무원 5명에게 임용장을 수여했다.

또한 경산시의회는 의정자료 수집·조사·연구 및 조례 제·개정 등 의원 의정활동을 지원하는 정책지원관 7명 중 3명을 올해 우선 채용할 계획이다.
올해 지방의회 인사권 독립과 정책지원 전문인력 채용의 시작과 함께 주민참여 확대, 지방의회 역량 강화와 책임성 확보, 지방자치단체 행정 효율성 강화 등 개정된 지방자치법의 시행으로 본격적인 자치분권의 시대가 시작된다.
이기동 의장은 “개정된 지방자치법의 본격적인 시행으로 지방의회의 자율성과 책임성이 강화된 만큼 앞으로 민의의 대변자로서 실질적인 자치분권의 시대로 나아가도록 노력하겠다” 고 말했다.
