대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 국제협력선도대학사업단이 호치민기술대학교(HCMUT)와 화상 Kick-off 미팅 행사를 가졌다.
지난 24일 삼성캠퍼스 꿈이룸스튜디오에서 진행된 이번 행사는 양 대학의 총장, 주요 보직자 및 사업관계자들이 참석한 가운데 양교 총장 인사 및 참석자 소개, 사업내용 및 경과보고, 향후 사업추진계획 등의 순서로 진행되었다.

행사에서는 국제협력선도대학의 주된 사업내용인 화장품공학 전공 신설과 관련 교육과정 개발, 실험실 구축 및 실험실습 기자재 제공, 석박사과정 GKS장학생 선발 및 지원, 현지 PM 및 교수인력 파견, 글로벌 산학협력체계 구축 등을 구체적으로 소개하고 앞으로 진행할 추진사업 등에 대한 논의가 진행되었다.
국제협력 선도대학 육성지원사업은 교육부가 개도국을 대상으로 지원하는 교육분야의 대표적인 공적개발원조사업(ODA사업)으로 2021년에 전국적으로 3개의 신규대학이 선정되는데 사립대학으로는 대구한의대가 유일하게 최종 선정되었다.
본 사업은 K-뷰티에 대한 전 세계적인 관심에 발맞추어 국내 대학 최초로 대구한의대가 베트남에 화장품공학 교육프로그램을 전수하고 여성의 직업 역량 및 산학협력체계를 강화하는 사업으로 교육부가 7년에 걸쳐 사업비를 지원하고 있다.
이날 행사에서 대구한의대 변창훈 총장은 “이번 국제협력 선도대학 육성지원사업을 통하여 우리 대학이 그동안 축적한 관련 교육과정의 개발 및 운영, 산학협력 및 국제개발협력 경험을 함께 공유하면서 글로벌 시대 국제개발협력의 새로운 성공 모델이 될 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
