국립금오공과대학교(총장 곽호상)가 한국전력기술㈜(사장 김성암)과 디지털 인재 양성을 위한 업무 협약을 체결했다.
지난 15일 금오공대 본관 중회의실에서 협약식에는 곽호상 금오공대 총장과 김성암 한국전력기술㈜ 사장을 비롯해 금오공대의 김영학 대학원장, 이현권 기획협력처장, 김동성 산학협력단장, 그리고 한국전력기술㈜의 염학기 전력기술원장, 고재일 인재개발원장, 장현영 스마트융합실장 등 10여 명이 참석했다.

협약은 급변하는 디지털 환경에 적극적으로 대응 가능한 차세대 디지털 융합 리더를 양성하기 위해 마련됐다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 △계약학과 설치 등을 통한 인적자원 역량 강화 △혁신 아이템 사업계획 수립 및 공동 수행 △연구·개발 과제 공동 참여 △신재생에너지 인프라 구축사업 개발 등의 분야에서 상호 협력할 것을 약속했다.
특히 계약학과 석·박사 과정 운영과 재직자 교육프로그램인 디지털 아카데미 개설을 통해 디지털 전문 인력을 양성하는 데 주력할 계획이다.
김성암 한국전력기술㈜ 사장은 “디지털 융복합 인재양성이라는 새로운 패러다임을 요구하는 시대적 요구에 부응하여 이번 협약이 에너지 전환 시대의 위기를 기회로 바꿀 수 있는 시금석이 되기를 바란다”며 “양 기관의 협력을 바탕으로 세계를 선도하는 디지털 엔지니어링 회사로 도약하는 모습을 기대해달라”고 말했다.
