18일 대구 칠성시장을 방문해 현장 유세에 나선 이준석 대표는 윤석열 후보에 대해 “문재인 정부 때 그렇게 추미애 법무부 장관이 괴롭히고 감사했는데 뭐 하나 나온 게 없는 깨끗한 사람”이라고 주장했다.
그러면서 최근 더불어민주당 이재명 후보의 부인 김혜경씨가 법인카드 유용 등의 의혹으로 구설에 오른 것을 언급 하며 “경기도지사 할 때 굉장히 행정을 잘한 것처럼 하고 다니더니만 뉴스 나오는 것을 보면 황당하다”라며 강하게 비판했다.

이준석 대표는 “윤 후보가 말하길 본인은 정치를 한 지 얼마 안 되었기 때문에 대한민국의 정치인들한테 빚을 진 게 없다고 했다.”며 “윤 후보가 빚진 대상은 오직 본인을 키워주고 정치에 불러주신 국민뿐이기 때문에 국민에게 그 빚을 갚을 것”이라고 덧붙였다.
아울러 이 준석 대표는 “3월 9일 대통령 선거에서 우리 대구의 시민들이 윤석열 후보를 압도적으로 당선시켜주셔서 대구를 위해 일하고 대한민국을 통합하고 다시 한 번 국운을 상승하게 하는 그런 선택을 해달라.”며 윤석열 후보에 대한 지지를 거듭 당부했다.
