대구대학교가 고용노동부 주관의 대학일자리플러스센터 사업에서 거점형 운영 대학으로 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.
대학일자리플러스센터 사업은 대학 내 진로지도와 취업 지원을 일원화하고 재학생 및 졸업생, 지역 청년에게 원스톱 고용서비스를 제공하기 위한 사업이다.
이중 거점형 운영대학은 재적생 7천 명 이상인 대형 대학 중에서 특화 프로그램 운영을 통해 취업지원 역량을 강화할 수 있는 대학 위주로 선정됐다.
이번에 새롭게 대학일자리플러스센터 사업에 선정된 대구대는 앞으로 최대 6년간(사업 성과 평가 인센티브 1년 포함) 재학생과 졸업생, 지역 청년들을 위한 원스톱 진로취업서비스를 이어간다.
이를 위해 매년 7.5억 원(국비 4.5억 원, 지방비 1.5억 원, 교비 1.5억 원)을 투입해 대학생 및 지역 청년들을 대상으로 체계적인 진로지도와 취·창업지원 역량 강화를 위한 사업을 운영할 계획이다.
정석연 대구대 진로취업처장은 “대학일자리플러스센터 사업을 통해 취업지원서비스를 받을 수 있는 대상을 확대하고 대학과 지역 기업 간 일자리 매칭 기능을 강화해 대학 취업률 제고에 이바지할 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
