의사이자 방송인, 기업가로 활동하고 있는 여에스더가 경북 울진‧강원 삼척 등 산불피해 극복 기부행렬에 동참했다.
7일 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)에 따르면 여에스더가 대표로 있는 에스더포뮬러는 전날 1억원을 기부했다.
여에스더 대표는 “산불로 피해를 입으신 분들게 조금이나마 도움이 됐으면 하는 마음에 기부를 하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 공동체를 위한 나눔을 실천하며 모두 함께 상생할 수 있는 길을 고민하겠다”고 희망브리지에 전했다.
희망브리지는 이재민 구호와 피해 복구에 기부금을 사용할 계획이다.
한편, 에스더포뮬러는 지금까지 사회공헌에 25억9천381만여원을 쾌척했다.
재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해 피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다.
60년 동안 1조5천억 원의 성금과 6천만 점 넘는 구호물품을 지원했다. 특히 지난해 코로나19 극복 성금 1천8억 원을 모금해 3천7백만 점 가까운 물품을 방역 취약계층과 의료진, 치료시설 입소자 등에게 전달했다.

Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, an organization specializing in disaster relief funds, is a purely private organization established in 1961 by newspapers, broadcasters, and social groups across the country, and is the only legal relief organization that can support relief funds from natural disasters in Korea.
Over the past 60 years, it has provided 1.5 trillion won in donations and more than 60 million relief items. In particular, last year, it raised 180 billion won to overcome COVID-19 and delivered close to 37 million items to vulnerable groups, medical staff, and residents of treatment facilities.
