[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 2022년 6월 1일 치러지는 지방선거를 앞두고 16일 부울경언론연대에서 김상규 창원시장 예비후보를 모시고 인터뷰를 진행했다.
김상규 창원시장 예비후보는 마산 월령초등학교, 중앙중학교, 마산고등학교를 나왔다고 말하고 제가 살던 곳이 신마산의 반월시장 위 똥골동네라는 곳에서 살고 자랐다.
창원의 성장과정을 바깥에서 쭉 지켜봤고 어떤 면에서는 객관적으로 볼 수 있었다고 생각한다.
지난 35년간의 공직을 마치고 창원시의 발전에 큰 도움이 되지 않을까 하는 생각으로 창원시장에 출마를 하게된 동기가 되었다.

특히 행사라든지 이런 데에 중점적으로 시정을 보고 있는 점이 오히려 시정을 소홀히 하고 있지 않나 그런 생각을 하게 된다.

지난 35년의 공직 경험이 누구보다도 창원시에서 활용할 수 있는 자산이라고 생각한다. 그런 점에서는 다른 후보에 비해 제가 경쟁력이 있다고 생각되고, 두 번째는 공직 생활을 오래 하던 부분에서 행정이 어떻게 돌아가야 된다는 걸 압니다. 세 번째는 제가 평생을 갑의 위치에 있던 공직자였습니다. 기재부도 갑 중의 갑이고 감사원도 갑이고 그런 곳에서 있었지만, 저를 만난 사람이 거만하다거나 이렇다고 하는 사람은 없습니다.
