6.1지방선거에 김시곤 박사(서울과학기술대학교 교수)가 서울 강남구청장에 출마를 선언했다.
“강남구를 강남답게 만들어서 서울의 심장, 대한민국의 상징, 세계의 국제중심특구로 만드는 데 앞장서겠다.”
강남구청장 선거 국민의힘 예비후보에 등록한 김시곤 박사는 지난 4월 11일 출마 선언을 통해 “지금까지 쌓아온 다양한 경험을 제가 20여 년 거주한 강남구를 위하여 봉사하겠다.”고 강조했다.
김시곤 예비후보는 “지난 30여 년 동안 정부출연 연구소(한국교통연구원)와 국립대학교(서울과학기술대학교)에 근무하면서 도시·교통정책 전문가로 활동해 왔다. 기초지자체의 숙원사업 해결을 위해서는 국회의원, 정부, 시민이 삼위일체가 되는 절차를 거쳐야 한다. 이러한 과정에서 수많은 도시·교통 정책발표, 지자체의 공청회 개최, 시민단체와의 대화 등을 통하여 자연스럽게 지자체 행정의 전반을 경험하는 계기가 되었다.”라고 출마 배경을 밝혔다.
