희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는‘제25회 보령머드축제’기간 동안 이동식 선별진료소를 운영한다고 18일 밝혔다.
보령머드축제는 16일부터 다음 달 15일까지 한 달 동안 충남 보령시 대천해수욕장 일대에서 이어진다. 코로나19 확산 이전 매년 100만명이 넘는 방문객이 몰리는 국내 대표 여름 축제 중 하나로, 이번 행사의 개막식에는 대통령이 참석하는 등 3년 만의 재개에 많은 사회적 관심을 받고 있다.
희망브리지는 코로나19 재유행을 저지하기 위해 이동식 선별진료소 지원을 결정했다. 7월 초까지 1만명 이내를 유지하던 국내 코로나19 확진자 수는 이달 중순부터 2만~4만명대를 오가고 있다.
지난 17일 이동식 선별진료소를 찾은 스페인 국적 A씨는 “축제에 오기 전에 만났던 친구가 코로나19에 감염됐다고 해 검사를 받으러 왔다”며 “코로나19에 걸렸을 때 끔찍하게 고생한 기억이 있어서 서둘러 이곳을 찾았다”고 말했다.

삼성의 지원으로 제작한 이동식 선별진료소는 8.5톤 모듈형 특수장비차에 최고 수준의 방역 기능과 편의 시설을 집어넣었다. 음압‧양압 시설을 갖추고, 의료진과 피검사자가 접촉하지 않도록 설계했으며, 3개의 검사실에서 문진과 진찰부터 검체 채취까지 이뤄진다. 검체 채취 구역에는 냉난방 장치가 설치됐고, 냉장고와 탁자, 모니터를 갖춘 의료진 휴게공간도 마련됐다.
