[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] ‘힐링, 섬진강 하동! 찾아라, 황금재첩!’을 슬로건으로 한 제6회 하동섬진강문화재첩축제가 5∼7일 3일간 하동송림공원 및 섬진강변 일원에서 화려하게 막을 올린다.
(사)하동섬진강문화재첩축제추진위원회(위원장 이수영)가 주관하는 우리나라 대표적인 여름축제인 하동섬진강문화재첩축제는 코로나19 여파로 3년 만에 개최되는 만큼 다채로운 프로그램으로 군민과 관람객을 맞는다.
축제는 첫날 오후 3시 대표 프로그램 ‘찾아라! 황금재첩’으로 시작된다. ‘찾아라! 황금재첩’은 섬진강변에 숨겨진 황금모형의 재첩을 찾는 이에게 순금 1돈짜리 황금재첩으로 교환해 준다.
‘찾아라! 황금재첩’은 둘째 날과 셋째 날에도 각각 오전 11시?오후 3시 두 차례씩 축제기간 모두 다섯 차례 열려 축제장을 찾는 사람들에게 행운을 선물한다.
그리고 이번 축제에서는 전통방식으로 재첩을 잡아보는 ‘섬진강 거랭이 재첩잡이 체험’이 ‘찾아라! 황금재첩’ 행사 후에 진행되며, 이 또한 축제기간 다섯 차례 마련된다.

축제의 서막을 올리는 개막식은 첫날 밤 7시 30분 주무대에서 식전공연과 주제 퍼포먼스를 펼치며 홍진영·박서진 등 초청가수의 축하공연이 이어진다.
둘째 날은 오후 5시 군민의 재능을 엿볼 수 있는 ‘지역 희망 나눔 공연’에 이어 밤 8시 치킨과 시원한 맥주로 무더위를 식히는 ‘섬진강 치맥 페스티벌’이 마련돼 임창정·하동근 등과 같은 가수들의 공연과 함께 흥겨운 축제의 밤을 즐길 수 있다.
마지막 날은 오후 5시 관내 다양한 가족들의 장기자랑인 ‘우리 가족을 자랑합니다’를 끝으로 대단원의 막을 내린다.
이번 축제에서는 대표 프로그램 외에도 상설·체험 프로그램과 부대행사도 다채롭게 준비된다.
상설·체험 프로그램으로는 △물놀이장 및 워터슬라이드 △썸머 5종 스포츠 △섬진강 두꺼비는 어디에 △자연물과 함께하는 만들기 교실 △지역자활센터 체험 #담다 등이 마련된다.
그리고 부대행사로는 △섬진강 재첩 판매·시식관 △농·특산물 판매장 △향토음식관 △하동녹차홍보관 △하동세계차엑스포 홍보관 등이 운영되며, 축제 전야행사로 가수 등용문 제10회 하동 정두수 전국가요제가 열린다.
이수영 위원장은 “올여름 하동을 방문해 황금재첩의 행운도 얻고 무더운 여름철 피서와 축제를 동시에 즐기길 바란다”고 말했다.
