파주시는 오는 9월 17일 금릉역 앞 중앙광장에서 제1회 파주 청년희망축제를 개최한다.
올해 처음 열리는 청년희망축제는 ‘청년의 날’(9.17)을 기념해 취업난 등으로 어려움을 겪는 청년들을 위로하고, 서로 소통할 수 있는 교류의 장을 마련하고자 추진됐다.

이번 축제는 기획부터 실행까지 청년의 자발적 참여형 축제로, 시가 청년정책협의체 축제추진기획분과와의 회의를 통해 추진하고 있다.
축제에서는 청년들이 목표를 이룰 수 있는 경험을 갖도록 ‘버킷리스트’라는 주제로 공감대를 형성하는 소통의 장이 마련되고, 청년강연, 청년예술품 경매, 청년창업가 제품 전시·홍보부스, 뮤직토크쇼, 파주프리미엄아울렛 채용부스, 체험부스 등 다양한 프로그램이 펼쳐질 예정이다.
청년강연, 청년창업가 홍보부스 등 프로그램에 신청을 원하는 청년은 시 홈페이지 새소식을 참고해 9월 5일까지 파주 청년희망축제 담당자 이메일로 신청하면 된다.
김지숙 청년정책담당관은 “민선8기 청년희망도시 파주의 원동력인 청년이 이번 축제로 활력을 되찾길 바란다”며 “청년들이 직접 기획하고 만들어 나가는 청년희망축제가 청년 대표 축제로 자리매김할 수 있도록 많은 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
축제는 9월 17일 오후 3시부터 7시 30분까지 사전 예약 없이 누구나 방문 가능하며, 자세한 사항은 청년정책담당관 청년정책팀으로 문의하면 된다.[파주=박정호기자]
