브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 애플이 신형 아이폰14 생산 확대 계획을 철회했다는 외신 보도가 나왔다.
블룸버그통신은 27일(현지시간) 익명의 관계자 말을 인용해 "예상했던 수요 확대가 실현되지 못하자 올해 새 아이폰 생산 확대 계획을 철회하고 있다"고 전했다.
앞서 애플은 핵심 판매 시장인 중국에서 아이폰14 수요가 부진하다는 소식이 나왔고, 이로 인해 생산을 늘리겠다는 계획까지 미룬 것으로 분석된다.
미국 투자은행(IB) 제프리스의 에디슨 리 애널리스트는 지난 26일 "중국에서 판매 시작 후 3일간 아이폰14 판매량은 아이폰13 보다 10.5% 적은 98만7000대에 불과했다"며 중국 수요가 예상보다 강하지 않다고 진단했다.
특히 애플의 수요 부진은 본격적인 글로벌 경기침체의 신호탄으로까지 해석되고 있다.
서상영 미래에셋증권 연구원은 "애플 수요 부진 소식이 전해지자 관련 종목 중심으로 매물이 출회되며 한국 증시가 하락했다"면서 "특히 이러한 애플의 아이폰 수요 둔화 가능성은 경기 침체에 대한 우려를 부각시켰다. 안전자산 선호심리가 높아지고 달러화 강세폭이 확대됐으며 엔화도 강한 모습을 보이고 있다"고 설명했다.
서 연구원은 이어 "여기에 노드스트림 가스관 폭발에 대해 독일 일각에서는 러시아가 관련이 있다는 루머가 유입되는 등 노드스트림을 둘러싼 마찰이 안보 이슈를 자극하며 유로화의 약세가 높아진 점도 영향을 주고 있다"고 진단했다.
