한국전력공사는 30일 보도자료를 통해 10월 1일부터 모든 소비자의 전기요금을 ㎾h당 2.5원 인상한다고 밝혔다.
여기에 기발표된 2022년 기준연료비 잔여인상분 ㎾h당 4.9원을 포함하면 전기요금 인상분은 ㎾h당 총 7.4원이 된다.
이에 따라 10월부터 적용되는 전기요금은 4인가구 기준(월 평균 전력량 307㎾h)으로 약 2271원 증가할 것으로 예상된다.
단, 한전은 올 7월부터 적용 중인 복지할인 한도 40% 확대를 연말까지 연장, 취약계층 요금 부담을 약 318억원 추가 경감하기로 했다. 상시 복지할인(8000월 ~ 1만6000원)에 월 최대 6000원 추가 할인으로 최대 207kWh 사용량까지 전기요금을 전액 지원한다는 것.
또한, 사회복지시설은 할인 한도 없이 전기요금 인상분의 30%를 할인해 부담을 완화할 예정이다.
이 밖에도 한전은 뿌리기업 고효율 기기 지원금 단가를 1.5~2배, 지원기업 수를 3.5배 이상으로 확대하고, 전력 다소비 중소기업을 대상으로 효율 향상 컨설티이 소비효율 개선 등을 지원할 계획이다.
