[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시 관내 수출 중소기업의 베트남 시장 확대진출과 경제교류 협력을 위해 창원산업진흥원과 함께 11일부터 15일까지 3박 5일의 일정으로 베트남 호치민에 무역사절단을 파견했다.
창원시 해외 무역사절단 파견 사업은 매년 관내 수출기업을 대상으로 하는 수요조사를 통해 진출 선호도가 높은 국가를 선정하고 해당 국가로 기업들을 파견해 신규 시장을 개척하는 사업이다.
이번 베트남 무역사절단은 현지 유관기관과의 업무협약 체결 및 네트워크 구축과 기계·자동차·전자분야 현지 바이어 초청 1:1 수출상담회 개최, 현지 진출기업 시찰 및 베트남 특화산업단지 견학 등이 있다.
사절단은 12일 기계·자동차·전자분야의 바이어 30여 개 사와 창원기업 간 1:1 맞춤형 수출상담회를 개최해 수출상담 212억 원, 계약추진 103억 원의 성과를 도출했다.
13일에는 창원시 관내기업 기술홍보 및 베트남 시장진출을 위해 베트남 과학기술부 산하 중소기업지원센터와 업무협약을 체결하고 현지 진출기업인 동진 베트남 공장을 시찰했다.
이후 기업별 후속 수출상담을 진행하고, 푸미 3 특화산업 단지를 견학하며 현지 시장을 파악한 후 사절단 일정을 마무리하고 귀국할 예정이다.
베트남은 중국 대비 저렴한 인건비와 각종 개혁개방정책으로 글로벌 기업들의 공장을 유치하고 있다.
이미 삼성전자, 애플의 최대 파운드리 업체인 폭스콘, 캐논, 파나소닉 등 다수의 기업이 베트남 시장에 진출해 있으며 샤오미, 구글도 베트남 현지 진출에 박차를 가하고 있다.
글로벌 기업들의 생산 전진기지로서 역할을 톡톡히 해내고 있는 베트남 시장에 많은 중소 협력업체들의 관심도 높아지고 있다.
홍남표 시장은 “올해는 한국과 베트남 수교 30주년이 되는 해로 이번 무역사절단 파견은 특히 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 관내 수출기업들의 베트남 시장진출에 기여할 수 있도록 협력체계를 더욱 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
