충남도에 따르면 이날 충청권 공동대표단은 인천공항에서 2027 하계세계대학경기대회 충청권 유치를 다짐하며 출국 행사를 갖고, 벨기에행 비행기에 몸을 실었다
벨기에 브뤼셀에 본부를 둔 국제대학스포츠연맹(FISU)은 오는 12일 오전 9시(한국시각 12일 오후 5시·이하 현지시각) 2027 하계세계대학경기대회 개최지를 결정하는 집행위원회 총회를 개최한다.
FISU 규정에 따라 후보지 시도지사 등은 총회에 반드시 참석해야 한다.
개최지는 후보지인 충청권과 미국 노스캐롤라이나주가 프레젠테이션을 진행한 후 투표권이 있는 22명의 집행위원들이 자체 심의를 가진 뒤 투표를 통해 다수결로 결정한다.
총 28명의 집행위원 중 회장은 공석이고, 대륙별 대표자 5명은 투표에 참여하지 않는다.
