의왕시가 지난 11월 16일 오전 10시 70여명의 주민들이 한자리에 모인 가운데 ‘의사소통 살롱’ 대토론회를 성공적으로 마무리했다.
‘의사소통 살롱’ 대토론회는 올해 열린 8회의 ‘의사소통 살롱’에서 나온 의견 결집을 위해 8회의 살롱에서 도출한 결과를 토대로 돌봄, 생태, 도서관, 장애, 청년이라는 5대 주제별로 ‘가상의 공동체 기금 5억 배분 사업 만들기’ 프로젝트를 진행하고, 주제별 토론회 도출 결과 공유, 주제별 질문사항과 해답 찾기, 제안문 작성 순으로 이어졌다.
토론회는 △기후위기는 밥상을 어떻게 변화시킬까, △청년들이 지역활동에 참여할 수 있는 방법·노력·여건은, △장애인들은 택시만 타야 할까 등 3가지 질문을 도출했다. 질문에 따른 참석자들의 해결방안을 담은 제안문은 향후 수정.보완 작업을 거쳐 평생교육 사업 및 프로그램으로 활용할 계획이다.

이날 토론회에 참석한 정주영(부곡동)씨는 “오늘 참가자들과 이야기 나누는 과정을 통해 주민 스스로 지역의 문제점을 해결할 수 있다는 생각이 들었다”며 “함께 의견을 모아가는 과정들이 신선하고 흥미로운 경험이었다. 앞으로도 이러한 사업이 확대되길 바란다”고 말했다.
올해 의사소통 살롱의 마지막 토론회는 11월 30일(수) 오후 3시 왕림이팝아트홀에서 공연과 토론이 어우러진 ‘이야기가 있는 콘서트’로 열린다.
시민들의 자유로운 토론과 자발적인 참여로 지역 내 문제를 해결하기 위해 추진하는 ‘의사소통 살롱’사업은 모락산아이들사회적협동조합이 2022년 사업자로 선정돼 운영 중으로, 8차에 걸쳐 토론회를 개최했다.

On November 16th, at 10:00 a.m., Uiwang-si successfully concluded the ‘Communication Salon’ discussion with about 70 residents gathered in one place.
The 'Communication Salon' debate was held based on the results derived from the 8 'Communication Salons' held this year to gather opinions, and the 'virtual community fund' was divided into five themes: care, ecology, library, disability, and youth. The '500 million distribution business creation' project was carried out, followed by sharing the results of discussions by topic, finding questions and answers by topic, and writing proposals.
The discussion raised three questions: △How will the climate crisis change the table, △How young people can participate in local activities, efforts, and conditions, and △Should people with disabilities only take taxis? The proposal containing the solutions of the participants according to the questions will be revised and supplemented in the future to be used for lifelong education projects and programs.
Jung Ju-young (Bugok-dong), who participated in the discussion, said, “Through the process of talking with the participants today, I felt that the residents could solve the local problems on their own.” “The process of gathering opinions together was a fresh and interesting experience. We hope to expand this business in the future.”
The last discussion of this year's Communication Salon will be held on November 30 (Wed) at 3:00 pm at the Wanglimi Pop Art Hall as a 'concert with a story' that combines performances and discussions.
The ‘Communication Salon’ project, which is promoted to solve local problems through free discussion and voluntary participation of citizens, was operated by Moraksan Children’s Social Cooperative after being selected as the operator in 2022, and held eight discussions.
