의왕시, ‘2022년 의왕영어테마축제’ 개최

의왕시(시장 김성제)가 오는 11월 29일 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 의왕글로벌인재센터에서 원어민과 함께하는 ‘2022년 의왕영어테마축제’를 개최한다.

이번 축제는 ‘세계의 환상 이야기(Fantastic Tales)’를 테마로 진행되며, 영어를 체험하고 싶은 유아 및 초등학생이라면 누구나 무료로 참여할 수 있다.

축제는 △‘로빈슨 크루소’ 무인도 생존하기 △‘비밀의 화원’ 나만의 컵가든 만들기 △‘깊은 밤 부엌에서’ 나만의 주방 세팅하기 △글로벌 놀이 문화 체험 등 15가지의 다양하고 흥미로운 체험 부스와 풍성한 볼거리로 채워질 예정이다.

또한 다양한 미션을 통해 얻은 스탬프로 동화상점에서 기념품을 교환하는 이벤트와 특별공연으로 영어매직쇼와 버스킹 공연 등 다양한 프로그램이 함께 진행된다.

김성제 의왕시장은 "이번 축제는 글로벌 리더를 꿈꾸는 우리시 어린이들이 세계의 문화를 손쉽게 접하고 영어에 대한 흥미와 자신감을 쌓을 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것”이라며, “앞으로도 글로벌 인재 양성을 위해 다채로운 교육사업을 운영하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 축제가 열리는 의왕글로벌인재센터는 현재 ㈜정상JLS에서 위탁운영하고 있으며, 2015년 개원 이래 연간 약 5,000명의 의왕시민이 이용하는 의왕시 대표 교육시설이다.
