브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 신용보증기금은 8일 보도자료를 통해 지난 7일 서울 중구 대한상공회의소에서 진행된 ‘2022 지속가능경영유공 시상식’에서 ‘종합 ESG 부문 산업통상자원부 장관 표창’을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
‘지속가능경영유공 포상’은 지속가능경영을 통해 사회적 책임을 적극 실천하고 모범적인 경영활동으로 산업경쟁력 제고에 기여한 기관 및 단체에게 수여하는 정부 포상이다.
신보는 종합 ESG 부문에서 지속가능경영 관련 국정과제 이행과 ESG 경영을 통한 사회적 가치 창출에 기여한 공로를 인정받았다.
신보는 한국형 RE100 가입으로 친환경에너지 활성화 기반을 마련하고, PCAF(탄소회계금융협의체)에 가입함으로써 탄소배출량 측정 및 절감 방안을 모색 중이다. 또한, ‘기후변화 대응을 위한 탄소중립 특화 보증’, ‘녹색 공정전환 보증’ 제도를 시행해 저탄소 산업 육성과 중소기업의 온실가스 감축을 지원하고 있다.
이 외에도, 신보는 대‧중소기업 협력 프로젝트에 자금을 지원하는 ‘공동 프로젝트 보증’과 중소기업 매출채권 대금 조기회수 및 연쇄부도를 차단하는 ‘중소기업 팩토링’ 등 자체 개발 금융상품을 운영하고 있으며, 디지털 기반의 감사제도 고도화를 통해 윤리경영을 실현하고 있다.
