과천시가 오는 12월 25일까지 ‘2023 과천시 SNS시민기자단’으로 활동할 기자 23명을 공개 모집한다.
과천시 SNS시민기자단에는 시민의 눈높이에 맞는 생생한 시정소식을 전달하기 위한 현장 취재와 기사 작성, 사진·영상 촬영이 가능하고 SNS 활동을 즐기는 시민이면 누구나 지원할 수 있다.

과천시는 응모자의 지원서를 토대로 심사를 진행해 내년 1월 중 블로그·영상·사진·웹툰 분야에서 활동할 기자단 23명을 최종 선발하며, 선발된 기자단은 내년 12월까지 활동하게 된다.
과천시는 유튜브 이용자가 지속적으로 증가하는 추세 등을 고려하여 영상기자 비중을 확대하여 운영할 계획이다.
과천시 SNS시민기자단은 과천시의 정책, 문화, 관광, 여행, 생활정보, 맛집 등을 소재로 현장 취재를 통해 콘텐츠를 생산해야 한다.
기자단이 작성한 콘텐츠는 블로그와 유튜브, 인스타그램 등 과천시 공식 SNS채널에 게시될 예정이다.
과천시는 채택된 기자단 콘텐츠에 대해서는 소정의 원고료를 지급하며, 우수 콘텐츠에 대한 인센티브 지급과 활동 우수자 표창 등으로 양질의 콘텐츠가 제작될 수 있도록 지원하겠다고 밝혔다.
