경기도교육청(교육감 임태희)이 2023년 3월 1일자 임용 예정으로 학교 현장의 수업을 지원하고, 교원의 전문성 향상을 위해 수석교사를 선발했다.
이번에 선발된 수석교사는 △유아 1명 △초등 16명 △중등 17명 △특수 2명으로 총 36명.
임용 예정인 수석교사는 교육적 배려가 필요한 지역 내 학교와 43학급 이상의 복수 교감 미배치교 등에 우선 배치해 학생 수업 지원에 적극적인 도움을 줄 예정이다.
수석교사는 임용일 기준 교육경력 15년 이상인 경기도 재직 교원을 대상으로 1차 서류평가, 2차 역량평가와 심층 면접으로 최종 합격자를 결정했다.
1차 평가는 △교육과정-수업-평가 전문성 △연구실적 △지도 및 지원실적 △역할수행 능력 △동료 교원 온라인 평가로 진행했다.
2차 평가는 1차 평가 합격자를 대상으로 △수업 및 평가 역량 △학생 지도 역량 △동료 교원 지도 역량 평가와 심층 면접으로 이뤄졌다.
경기도교육청 고효순 교원역량개발과장은 “학교 현장에서 동료 교원들로부터 인정받고 수업역량이 뛰어난 수석교사를 선발하고자 노력했다”며, “선발된 수석교사들이 교육과정·수업·평가의 전문성을 바탕으로 학교 수업 지원에 많은 역할을 기대한다”고 말했다.
경기도교육청은 2015년 이후 수석교사를 선발하지 않았으나 임태희 교육감이 수석교사제를 통한 교원의 전문성 향상 지원을 약속하면서 새롭게 추진하게 됐다.
