기획재정부 복권위원회는 3일 2023년부터 복권당첨금 비과세 기준이 5만원에서 200만원으로 상향된다고 밝혔다.
그동안 5만원에서 200만원 사이 당첨금 수령을 위해서는 주민등록번호 등 과세를 위한 개인 정보를 제공(지급명세서 작성)해야 했으나, 올해부터는 이러한 복잡한 절차 없이 곧바로 은행을 방문해 당첨금 수령이 가능해진다.
이로 인해 로또복권 3등 15만명, 연금복권 3, 4등 2만8000명 등 연간 18만명 이상의 당첨금 수령이 편리해질 것으로 기대된다.
기재부는 “복권당첨금 수령이 편리해짐에 따라 올해부터는 당첨 후 1년간 찾아가지 않는 미수령 당첨금이 줄어들 것으로 예상된다”고 전했다.
한편, 이번 소득세법 개정이 2023년 1월 1일부터 적용됨에 따라 지난해에 복권이 당첨됐어도 2023년 1월 1일 이후 청구 시 비과세 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
