브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 알피오는 18일 보도자료를 통해 세브란스병원과 의료혁신 연구개발 첨단재생바이오연구 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 맺었다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약에 따라 알피오와 세브란스병원은 정보통신기술(ICT) 기반의 인지장애 치료 및 검사 고도화를 위한 공동연구에 나설 계획이다.
양 기관은 신경과에서 전반적인 인지기능장애를 진단받은 환자를 대상으로 인지중재치료 및 인지기능검사 기술의 ICT화 개발을 위해 공동 협력하게 된다.
이번 공동연구를 주도하는 신촌세브란스병원 뇌신경센터 김경환 교수 연구팀은 알피오의 ICT화된 인지기능검사 시스템을 기반으로 경도인지장애 및 치매 환자를 위해 보다 정확하고 체계적인 검사 기술 개발을 진행할 예정이다.
이 외에도 양사는 공동 학술회의와 세미나 개최, 연구시설장비 공동 활용도 함께 진행한다.
김경환 교수 연구팀은 “인지기능저하는 뇌경색의 80~90%는 경동맥에 있는 죽상경화반 파열에 의해 작은 혈전이 혈액 속으로 들어가고, 이것이 점점 커지며 혈전화돼 뇌혈관을 갑자기 폐색시키는 경우 생기게 된다”며 “알피오의 ICT화된 인지기능검사 시스템으로 환자를 인지기능저하 초기에 조기 진단 및 치매를 예방할 수 있도록 하고자 한다”고 전했다.
한편, 알피오는 IT재활의료기기 전문기업으로, 의료장비에 대한 치료, 검사, 재활데이터 분석 등을 통홰 환자와 의료인에게 공급하고 있다.
