세종시가 19일 ‘제3기 지역혁신협의회 위원’ 12명을 위촉하고 제1차 회의를 개최하면서 민·관 협업을 통한 지역균형발전정책에 속도를 내고 있다.
지역혁신협의회는 국가균형발전특별법 제28조에 따라 지역균형발전 정책 추진을 지원하고 지역 내 혁신주체 간 연계망을 이어주는 구심점 역할을 수행하는 민·관 협력 기구로 이날 위촉된 제3기 지역혁신협의회 위원은 지역 소재 대학, 연구기관, 혁신기관 등에서 추천받은 전문가들로 구성됐다.
이날 임명된 위원은 당연직인 기획조정실장 1명, 위촉직 위원 12명 총 13명으로 임기는 오는 2025년 1월까지 2년이다.
3기 지역혁신협의회 첫 번째 회의에서는 위원들이 제안한 ‘세종 국가혁신융복합단지 지구지정 변경계획’에 대한 심의를 시작으로 혁신협의회 활동을 알렸다.
한편 지난 1∼2기 지역혁신협의회는 규제자유특구 계획 ,생활 사회간접자본(SOC) 복합화사업 지역발전투자협약 ,지역혁신성장계획 ,지자체-대학 협력기반 지역혁신 사업계획 등에 대한 심의·자문 역할과 균형발전과 관련한 각종 학술대회 등 혁신과제를 수행해왔다.
