[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시는 대기오염물질이 많이 배출되는 노후 차량의 조기폐차를 유도해, 미세먼지 걱정 없는 김해를 조성하고자 ‘2023 노후경유자 조기폐차 지원 사업’을 추진한다고 6일 밝혔다.
작년까지 배출가스 5등급 경유자동차와 도로용 3종 건설기계만 지원하던 사업을 올해는 4등급 경유자동차, 지게차 및 굴착기까지 확대해, 사업비 33억으로 경유차 1,716대, 지게차·굴착기 30대를 지원할 예정이며, 사업 활성화에 따라 사업비를 추가 확보할 계획이다.
사업대상은 배출가스 4.5등급 경유차, 2009년 8월 31일 이전 배출허용기준을 적용받고 제작된 도로용 3종 건설기계, 2004년 이전 제작된 지게차.굴착기이다.
조기폐차 지원금은 차종·규모에 따라 4·5등급 경유차의 경우 최대 300만원에서 1,000만원, 지게차·굴착기의 경우 최대 1,650만원에서 12,000만원으로 폐차 기본 지원금에 1·2등급 또는 무공해차 신차 구매 여부에 따라 추가 지원금을 받을 수 있다.
조기폐차 신청기간은 2월 6일부터 2월 17일까지 2주간이며, 배출가스 종합전산시스템(www.mecar.or.kr)에 입력하거나 시청 기후대응과로 직접 방문해 신청할 수 있다.
이용규 기후대응과장은 “올해는 지원대상이 확대된 만큼 보조금 지원 혜택도 받고 미세먼지 저감에 기여할 수 있는 좋은 기회이므로 시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”고 말했다.
