[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 의창구 도계동에 소재한 개나리 어린이공원을 전면적으로 정비하여 지역주민과 아이들이 마음껏 뛰어놀 수 있고 쉴 수 있도록 어린이공원 리모델링 사업 현장설명회를 개최했다고 22일 밝혔다.
현장설명회에 경상남도 건설소방위원회 박해영 위원장, 창원시 경제복지여성위원회 김남수 의원, 기획행정위원회 안상우 의원, 관할통장, 지역주민 등 30여 명이 참석했다.
이번 어린이공원 리모델링 사업은 기존 노후된 어린이 놀이시설 및 휴게시설을 새로운 시설물로 교체하고, 공원 내 단차를 없애 다양한 활동을 할 수 있도록 광장의 기능을 극대화함과 더불어 곳곳에 초화류 등을 식재하여 푸르고 알록달록한 공원으로 탈바꿈하기 위해 실시된다.
개나리 어린이공원 리모델링 사업은 상생발전특별회계 예산 3억 원을 이미 확보해 4월 중 실시설계를 완료하고, 5월 중 착공하여 7월에 준공할 계획이다.
박명종 푸른도시사업소장은 “지역 주민들의 의견을 적극 반영해 주민들의 만족도를 드높이고, 아이들이 놀고 싶은 어린이공원을 탈바꿈하여 아이 키우기 좋은 도시 조성에 기여할 수 있도록 추진하겠다.”고 말했다.
