충남도가 인구감소지역으로 지정된 공주·보령·논산·금산·부여·서천·청양·예산·태안 등 9개 시군과 함께 내년도 지방소멸대응기금 확보를 위한 전략마련에 나섰다.
지방소멸기금 확보 전략마련에 나선 충남도와 시군은 29일 공주 아트센터고마 세미나실에서 ‘2024년도 지방소멸대응기금 투자계획 수립 행안부-도-시군 전략회의’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
도내 인구감소지역의 지방소멸 문제에 적극 대응하고 도와 시군 간 협력을 강화하기 위해 개최된 이날 회의는 충남도와 시군, 행정안전부, 충남연구원 등 관계자 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 개최됐다.
이날 회의는 조충래 행안부 균형발전제도과 사무관이 ‘지방소멸대응을 위한 정부의 역할’을 주제로 강의했고, 이후 시군별 맞춤형 계획 작성 등 내년도 충남 지방소멸대응기금 투자계획 작성 방향을 논의했다.
참석자들은 지방소멸대응기금 투자계획 제출·평가를 3개월여 앞둔 시점에서 시군별 투자계획 수립 상황을 점검하고 투자계획 작성 방향 등을 공유하며 지방소멸대응기금 확보 전략을 모색했다.
한편 충남도는 2022∼2023년 2년간 광역지원계정으로 420억 원, 도내 인구감소지역 지정 시군 9곳은 기초지원계정으로 1302억 원을 확보, 총 1722억 원의 지방소멸대응기금을 확보한 바 있다.
