세종시의회 상병헌 의장은 29일 전자회의시스템과 조례 입법평가제 벤치마킹을 위해 방문한 거제시의회 의원들을 접견했다.

거제시의회 윤부원 의장과 시의원 및 사무처 직원 17명은 상병헌 의장과 차담 이후 세종시의회 전자회의시스템 및 조례 입법평가제에 대한 설명을 들었다.

이어 양 의회 의원들은 세종시의회 3층 본회의장 등 의회청사 내 시설 곳곳을 함께 둘러보고 의회 및 시설 운영 방식 등에 관한 의견을 교환했다.

상병헌 의장은 “주민 요구와 지방자치의 새 시대에 걸맞게 의회 운영 방식의 변화를 고민하는 거제시의회 의원들의 열의와 도전의식에 깊은 감명을 받았다”면서 “우리 의회도 여러 지방의회와 교류와 협력을 통해 시민들의 눈높이에 맞는 운영 방향을 숙의해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
