세종시의회가 임원추천위원회 민간위원 추천을 의장단·상임위원장단이 협의하고 본회의 의결을 통해 결정하기로 했다.
세종시의회에 따르면 시의회는 지난 3일 민간위원 추천 시 본회의 의결을 위한 세부 추천 방안을 마련하고 이같이 결정했다.
현재 의장단은 상병헌의장, 박란희 부의장, 상임위원장단은 의회운영위원장, 행정복지위원장, 산업건설위원장, 교육안전위원장 등으로 구성돼 있다 .
그동안 임원추천위원회 민간위원 추천은 전국 17개 시도의회에서는 의장 추천이 10곳(상임위원장과 협의 포함)으로세종시의회에서도 의원들에게 의견을 물어 의장이 추천해왔다.
하지만 상병헌의장은 “의장의 권한을 내려놓겠다”며 “추천방식을 공론화해 위와 같이 임원추천위원회 민간위원 추천절차”를 변경했다고 전했다. 이는 전국 시도의회에서 처음있는 일로 의회 관계자의 설명이다.
상병헌 의장은 “향후 의회 회기 일정을 고려해 출자출연기관 및 시청과 위원이 추천 시기를 사전에 협의할 수 있도록 협조 공문을 발송할 예정”이라며 “민간위원 추천 기준안을 마련해 운영할 계획”이라고 말했다.
