과천시가 지난해부터 시책사업으로 추진해온 ‘청년 구직자 자격증 응시료 지원사업’을 올해부터 ‘경기청년 역량강화 기회 지원사업’으로 확대 추진한다고 지난 5월 1일 밝혔다.
올해부터 추진하는 ‘경기청년 역량강화 기회지원사업’은 도비 보조사업으로, 종전까지 과천시에서 지원해왔던 어학 시험 외에도 국가기술자격, 국가공인 민간자격증 등 총 659종 시험의 응시료를 연 3회, 회당 최대 10만원(연 30만원)까지 실비 지원하는 사업이다.
올해 1월 1일부터 경기도에 거주하면서 신청일 기준 과천시에 거주하고 있는 만 19세~39세(1983년 1월 2일부터 2004년 1월 1일까지 출생자) 시험 응시일 기준 미취업 청년이면 누구나 지원받을 수 있다.
응시료 지원 신청은 시험 응시일에 따라 상반기와 하반기로 나눠 접수를 받으며, 예산 소진시 조기 종료될 수 있다.
올해 상반기(1~6월) 신청은 5월 1일부터 6월 30일까지 경기도 일자리재단(잡아바) 통합접수시스템(https://apply.jobaba.net)에서 하면 된다.
과천시는 지난 2022년부터 토익, 대한상공회의소 자격시험 등 관내 청년 구직자에 대해 어학시험 응시료를 연간 1인당 10만원까지 지원하는 ‘청년 구직자 자격증 응시료 지원사업’을 추진하며 청년들로부터 높은 호응을 얻었다.
