부천시에 따르면, ‘착한가격업소’는 물가 상승 억제와 개인 서비스 안정화의 기틀을 마련하기 위해 2011년부터 정부와 지방자치단체가 지정·관리하고 있는 우수 업소를 말하며 해당 업소는 시민에게 직접 소매 단위로 물품 및 서비스 등의 판매행위를 하며, 크게 외식업 분야와 외식업 외 분야(이미용, 세탁업, 목욕업 등)로 나뉜다.
지정 대상은 자영업자, 개인사업자로 서민 생활과 밀접한 개인서비스에 해당하는 업종이다.
착한가격업소 신청을 희망하는 사업자는 부천시청 생활경제과(소상공인지원팀)를 방문하거나 팩스, 이메일 등을 통해 신청서 및 구비서류를 작성·제출하면 된다.
