국가철도공단 시스템본부 전철처는 지역 어르신들에게 쾌적하고 안전한 생활환경을 조성해드리기 위해 독거노인 17가구를 방문해 방충망과 안전손잡이 등을 설치하는 봉사활동을 전개했다고 31일 빍혔다.
이날 봉사단은 정다운어르신복지관과 손잡고 대전 동구에 홀로 계시는 어르신들을 찾아 낡은 방충망을 새것으로 교체해드렸다. 또, 이들은 집안에서 안전하게 거동할 수 있도록 벽면에 안전손잡이를 설치해 줬다.
시스템본부 구욱현 전철처장은 “다가오는 하절기에 지역 어르신들이 한층 더 쾌적하고 안전한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 도움이 되었기를 바란다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회에 실질적으로 도움이 되는 사회공헌 활동을 추진하여 사회적 가치 실현에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
