최민호 세종시장이 14일 경북 포항시 해병1사단과 칠곡군 다부동 전적기념관을 찾았다.

세종시에 따르면 이번 군부태 방문은 보훈의 달을 맞이해 공직자들에게 국가안보의 중요성에 대한 공감대를 형성하기 위해 추진됐다.

먼저 최 시장은 해병 1사단에 들러 안보태세 유지와 국민을 지키기 위해 밤낮없이 애쓰고 있는 군장병을 위문하고 노고를 격려했다.

또 수륙양용장갑차를 탑승하며 병영체험의 시간도 가졌다.

이후에는 "한국전쟁시 북한군의 공세를 저지하고 대구를 사수함으로써 성공적인 인천상륙작전의 여건을 조성한 다부동 전적지와 기념관을 찾아 구국의 정신과 평화의 소중함을 깨닫는 시간을 보냈다"고 했다
