안양시 평촌동, 청사 내 주민 위한 문화 공간 소공갤러리 조성

안양시 평촌동 행정복지센터와 주민자치위원회(위원장 홍석미)가 청사 3층의 유휴 공간 리모델링을 거쳐 ‘소공갤러리’를 조성, 지난 4일 개관식을 개최했다.

개관식은 평촌동 주민자치위원들을 비롯한 지역 주민들과 예술작가, 내빈 등 50여명이 참석한 가운데 성황리에 개최됐다. 개관기념 전시회로 이언영 작가의 첫 개인전 ‘자연과의 교감’ 오프닝 행사도 함께 진행됐다. 이번 전시는 8월 2일까지 열리며, 17여점의 수준 높은 한국화 작품을 관람할 수 있다.

소공갤러리는 ‘소소하고 소중한 공간 갤러리’라는 의미로, 지역 예술가와 주민자치센터 프로그램 수강생들에게 작품전시 공간을 제공해 예술 활동을 장려하며 주민들에게는 문화예술 향유 기회를 제공하기 위해 조성했다.

소공갤러리에서는 이언영 작가의 개인전을 시작으로 연말까지 공예, 회화, 사진 등 다양한 작품 전시회를 매달 개최해 지역 주민들에게 다채로운 볼거리를 제공할 예정이다.

박서진 평촌동장은 “청사 내 유휴 공간을 주민들을 위한 문화 공간으로 제공하게 되어 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 주민들이 삶의 가까이에서 문화 예술을 체험하고 즐길 수 있도록 평촌동이 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
