(브레이크뉴스인천 문광소 기자) 부천시가 오는 22일부터 23일까지 2일간 제8회 ‘부천세계비보이대회(BBIC, Bucheon B-boy International Championship)’를 부천체육관에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 올해로 8회째 맞이하는 부천세계비보이대회는 국내에서 유일하게 개최되고 있는 최대 규모의 권위 있는 비보이 세계대회다.
세계 5대 메이저 대회를 석권한 비보이팀 진조크루가 주관하고 비보이 메카도시로 자리매김하고 있는 부천시가 주최한다.
올해는 세계 유명 비보이, 크루 등 23개국 800여 명의 댄서들이 참여해 실력을 겨룬다.
브레이킹 개인전, 4대4 단체전, 올스타일 퍼포먼스는 대회 당일 현장 예선을 통해 본선에 진출하는 기회가 주어진다.
대회 첫날인 오는 22일에는 초청된 세계 최고의 비보이들과 당일 현장 예선을 통해 선발된 비보이가 ‘브레이킹 개인전’을 펼친다.
또, 모든 장르를 아우르며 경합하는 ‘올스타일 퍼포먼스’ 그리고 비보이와 비걸이 팀을 이뤄 배틀하는 ‘보니&클라이드 배틀’까지 한눈에 관람할 수 있다.
대회 하이라이트인 마지막 날 23일에는 4대4 브레이킹 단체전을 메인으로 1대1 올스타일 배틀이 이어진다.
‘진조크루’와 스트릿 맨 파이터에서 최종 우승을 차지한 ‘저스트 절크’의 쇼케이스도 선보일 예정이다.
시상금은 4대4 단체전 우승팀 2000만원, 올스타일 퍼포먼스 우승팀 300만원, 올스타일 개인전 우승자 200만원, 브레이킹 개인전 우승자 200만원 등 총상금 49,300,000원을 두고 열띤 경쟁이 펼쳐질 예정이다.
