(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 20일 부천필하모닉오케스트라가 제306회 정기연주회 ‘말러, 부활’을 선보인다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 부천필하모닉오케스트라는 2020년 ‘대지의 노래’를 무대에 올린 뒤 3년 만에 다시금 말러를 꺼내든 것으로 그동안 꾸준하게 말러 레퍼토리를 연주한 부천필이었으나 새로운 콘서트홀의 개관을 기다리며 아껴온 비기를 내놓은 것으로 그야말로 말러의 ‘부활’이다.
장윤성 상임지휘자는 취임 당시부터 “파이프 오르간이 들어서는 부천아트센터가 개관하면 그곳에서 말러 ‘부활’의 연주를 선보이고 싶다”고 공언한 바를 이룰 수 있게 되었다.
말러의 교향곡 제2번 ‘부활’은 대편성 관현악과 성악 독창, 혼성 합창이 장대하게 어우러진 한 편의 대서사시이다.
교향곡 제1번 ‘거인’의 장송행진곡으로 시작되는 제2번은 마지막 부활의 합창까지 90분간 달리며 거대한 드라마를 만든다.
이 작품은 말러가 교향곡으로서는 처음 성공을 거둔 것이자, 그의 작품 중에서도 가장 영적이며 드라마적으로 뛰어난 아름다움을 보여준다.
1악장은 말러가 교향시로 발표했다가 교향곡 제2번으로 다시 가져온 ‘장례식’이다.
