브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 러시아는 11일 한국이 앞으로도 우크라이나에 직간접적으로 무기를 제공하지 않길 바란다고 밝혔다.
게오르기 지노비예프 러시아 외무부 제1 아시아 국장은 이날 러시아 국영통신 타스 통신과의 인터뷰에 "우리는 우크라이나 사태에 대한 한국의 접근 방식을 예의 주시하고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
지노비예프 국장은 "한국은 향후에도 우크라이나에 직·간접적으로 무기나 군사 장비를 공급하는 무모한 결정을 내리지 않도록 주의를 기울여 달라"고 강조했다.
그는 특히 한국이 155mm 자주포 포탄을 미국을 우회해 우크라이나에 지원하고 있다는 외신 보도에 관련해서도, 사실이 아님을 확인했다고 설명하기도 했다.
지노비예프 국장은 "한국은 공개적으로, 그리고 우리와 다양한 수준의 소통을 통해 입장(살상용 무기 지원 불가)에 변함이 없다는 것을 거듭 확인했다"면서 "한국과 미국이 우크라이나에 탄약을 보내기로 합의했다는 서방 언론 보도는 사실이 아니라는 점을 반복적으로 확인했다"고 말했다.
다만 그는 "우크라이나 위기는 러시아와 한국 관계 발전에 부정적인 영향을 끼쳤다. 한반도에는 새로운 위기가 접근하고 있다"면서 "한국은 우크라이나 정권을 지지하는 서방 집단의 노선에 합류했고, 러시아에서 인기 있는 한국 제조업체들은 심각한 손실을 봤다"고 평가했다.
그는 그러면서 관계 개선을 위한 기회도 열려있다고 강조했다. 지노비예프 국장은 "우리에게 의지가 있다면 한-러 수교 30년 동안 구축한 포괄적 협력 구조를 유지하며 미래로 나아가기 위한 여건을 조성할 수 있을 것"이라고 했다.

Russia announced on the 11th that it hopes that South Korea will not provide weapons directly or indirectly to Ukraine in the future.
