희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는 온라인여행사 트립닷컴에서 호우와 태풍으로 피해를 본 이웃을 위해 써달라며 성금을 전해왔다고 22일 밝혔다.
트립닷컴은 한가위를 맞이하여 트립닷컴 한국 전체 임직원이 이재민 지원과 수해 복구를 위한 성금 기부에 동참해 더욱 뜻깊은 의미를 더했다.
이날 서울 마포구 희망브리지에서 열린 성금 전달식에는 희망브리지 김희년 본부장과 홍종민 트립닷컴 한국 지사장 등이 참석했다.
홍종민 트립닷컴 한국 지사장은 “작은 손길이나마 임직원들과 함께 우리 지역사회에 도움이 되는 일을 함께 할 수 있어서 뜻깊다”라며 “앞으로도 어려운여러 이웃들을 위한 활동을 꾸준히 진행할 것”이라고 말했다.
희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은“재난 피해 이웃을 위해 기부에 동참해주신 트립닷컴 임직원분들게 감사드린다”라며 “희망브리지는 피해 이웃이 하루빨리 일상을 회복할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”라고 전했다.
재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다. 설립 이후 현재까지 1조6천억 원의 성금을 누적 지원했으며 6천만 점 이상의 구호물품을지원했다.

Trip.com donates money to Hope Bridge for flood victims
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced today that Trip.com, an online travel agency, has donated money to the organization to be used for neighbors affected by heavy rains and typhoons.
Trip.com's donation was made even more meaningful by the fact that all of Trip.com's employees in Korea participated in the donation to support the victims and restore the water damage.
