경기도교육청(교육감 임태희)이 ‘청소년 매니페스토 실천단’ 30명을 대상으로 교육감의 공약사항을 현장에서 직접 체험하는 정책캠프를 개최했다.
경기도교육청은 경기교육정책의 실수요자인 청소년의 시각으로 정책을 점검하기 위해 정책캠프를 운영했다.
지난 12월 13일 경기학생스포츠센터에서 진행된 정책캠프에서는 IT가 접목된 다양한 체육 프로그램으로 편성해 미래 학교체육을 직·간접적 체험했다. 20일, 21일에는 AI기반 교수·학습 플랫폼으로 시범운영 중인 ‘하이러닝’체험 교육을 실시했다. 이후 실천단 소감을 공유하며 경기교육 정책에 대한 관심과 이해도를 높일 수 있었다.

청소년 매니페스토 실천단은 지난 5개월간 학교, 청소년과 관련된 주제를 중심으로 정책을 평가하고 학교 현안에 대한 공유 등 다양한 의견을 주고받았다. 이번 정책캠프를 끝으로 오는 12월 31일 활동을 마무리한다.
이날 캠프에 참석한 경기자동차과학고 김준환 학생은 “6개월 동안 다양한 교육정책들을 살펴보며 학교와 학생들이 원하는 정책과 방향을 이야기하는 좋은 기회였다”며, “내년에도 많은 청소년이 참여할 수 있는 활동이 진행됐으면 좋겠다”고 소감을 전했다.
경기도교육청 서혜정 정책기획관은 “청소년들이 교육정책을 끊임없이 고민하고 직접 평가하며 서로 의견을 나누는 의미 있는 기회가 되었길 바란다”며, “청소년이 주도적으로 정책에 참여할 수 있는 자리를 점차 늘려나가고, 제시하는 내용이 실제 사업에 적극적으로 반영할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
