[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해 출신 프로골퍼 최혜진 선수가 올해 고액기부자 1호로 작년에 이어 ‘고향사랑기부금’ 500만원을 기부했다고 2일 밝혔다.
최혜진 선수는 2022년부터 LPGA 투어에서도 활약 중이고, 2023년 KLPGA 투어 롯데 오픈 우승 등 김해가 낳은 세계적인 스포츠 스타로 김해에서 개최되는 ‘제105회 전국체육대회’ 홍보대사로도 활동하고 있다
김해지역 저소득층을 지원하기 위해 팬카페 ‘월드퀸’과 함께 경남사랑복지공동모금회에 2,200만원을 기부하는 등 고액기부자 모임인 아너 소사이어티 일원으로써 매년 꾸준한 나눔활동을 이어가고 있다
올해로 시행 2년차인 고향사랑기부제는 개인이 본인 주소지 외 지자체에 500만원 한도로 기부할 수 있으며, 세액공제 혜택과 답례품의 혜택이 제공된다.
홍태용 시장은 “작년에 이어 올해도 고향사랑기부를 해주셔서 감사드린다”며 “자발적 기부문화를 조성하는데 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
