경기도, 도시재생사업 군포 당동 ‘당말 멀티파크’ 5월 준공 밝혀

경기도가 군포 당동 도시재생사업 거점시설인 ‘당말 멀티파크’가 5월 준공 예정이라고 지난 4월 18일 밝혔다.

군포 당동 도시재생사업은 2020년 국토교통부 공모사업에 선정돼 △상생드림플라자 조성, △역전도랫길 테마가로 조성, △3·31 만세광장 조성, △당말 멀티파크 조성, △주민역량강화 프로그램 운영 등을 추진하고 있다.

‘당말 멀티파크’는 군포시 당동 779번지에 지하 2층, 연 면적 2,118.3㎡ 규모로 건립, 공영주차장, 생활밀착형 체육시설 및 주민참여형 화단과 쉼터가 조성된다.

당동 일대는 1919년 3·31 독립만세운동이 일어났던 역전시장과 1905년 경부선 개통과 동시에 개통한 군포역이 위치하고 있다. 이외에도 우물터, 평안상회, 군포교회 등 오랜 전통과 역사가 있는 곳이다.
