고양시자원봉사센터는 장항습지의 ‘람사르 습지 등재 3주년’을 기념하여 21일 장항습지 주변 순찰로 일대 정화 활동을 진행했다.
이날 활동은 고양시 산하기관인 고양도시관리공사, 고양산업진흥원, 고양컨벤션뷰로 임직원 36명이 참여했으며, 사회적협동조합 한강 박평수 고양지부장의 장항습지 생태환경 교육이 장항습지 탐조대 견학과 함께 시작됐다.
이후 진행된 장항습지 주변 순찰로 환경정화 봉사 활동에서 쓰레기 약 220L,생태계 교란종인 가시 상추 100L 이상을 제거했다

활동에 참여한 산하기관 직원은 “고양시에 살고 있지만 이렇게 의미 있는 장소가 있는지 몰랐으나 뜻깊은 날 자원봉사에 참여해 습지 생태계에 대해 배우고, 환경정화까지 함께해 기분이 좋다”고 말하며 람사르 습지 등재 3주년 축하와 함께 참여 소감을 남겼다.
