신한라이프가 추석을 앞두고 나눔을 실천한다. 독거노인에 필요한 생필품 등을 담은 후원물품 330세트를 전달한다.
신한라이프(대표이사 사장 이영종)는 한가위를 맞아 지역사회 독거 어르신들을 위한 후원물품 제작 임직원 봉사활동을 진행했다고 8월26일 밝혔다.
신한라이프에 따르면 이날 봉사활동에는 임직원 약 40여 명이 참여해 어르신들의 건강을 위한 식품 키트와 환절기 대비 전기방석 등 생필품이 담긴 후원물품 330세트를 제작했다. 제작된 물품은 신한라이프가 ‘사랑 잇는 전화’로 수 년째 인연을 이어가고 있는 어르신들에게 전달할 예정이다.
‘사랑 잇는 전화’는 신한라이프 콜센터가 독거노인종합지원센터와 협약을 맺고 진행하는 사회공헌 활동. 지난 2011년부터 독거 어르신들과 1:1 매칭을 통해 건강과 안전을 확인할 뿐 아니라 정서적 안정을 돕고자 꾸준히 지원을 하고 있다.
신한라이프 관계자는 “인연을 맺은 어르신들께 지난해에 이어 올해도 명절을 맞아 나눔을 실천할 수 있어 기쁘다”며, “앞으로도 돌봄이 필요한 취약계층에 따뜻한 상생의 가치를 실현하는데 아낌없는 노력을 기울여 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Shinhan Life (CEO and President Lee Young-jong) announced on August 26 that it held an employee volunteer activity to make donated goods for the elderly living alone in the local community.
According to Shinhan Life, about 40 employees participated in the volunteer program and made 330 sets of donated goods containing daily necessities such as food kits for the elderly's health and electric cushions for the winter season. The items will be delivered to the elderly, with whom Shinhan Life has been connecting for many years through the 'Call to Love' program.
'Calling for Love' is a social contribution activity conducted by Shinhan Life's call center in partnership with the Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone. Since 2011, the call center has been matching 1:1 with the elderly living alone to check on their health and safety, as well as provide emotional support.
A representative from Shinhan Life said, “We are pleased to be able to share with the elderly this year as well as last year,” adding, “We will continue to make unstinting efforts to realize the value of mutual benefit for vulnerable people in need of care.”
