경주시, 교육부 인문도시 지원사업 선정...국비 4억 2000만원 확보

10일 시에 따르면 인문도시지원사업은 대학과 지역사회 간 네트워크를 통해 지역의 인문 자산을 발굴하고 인문 강좌와 인문 체험, 인문 축제 등의 프로그램을 진행해 지역민들의 인문 생활화를 장려하는 사업이다.

이번 사업 선정으로 국비 4억 2000만원을 확보한 경주시는 2027년까지 동국대 WISE캠퍼스와 인적 네트워크를 구축해 ‘경주, 공감문화 상생플랫폼 도시’라는 주제로 인문 프로그램을 진행할 계획이다.

주요 프로그램으로는 △최부자댁의 공감정신 △동학삼경사상의 공감정신 △디지털배지와 공감시민상 등이 담길 예정이다.

이와 함께 지역의 특성과 연계한 △인문 강좌와 인문 체험 △찾아가는 인문강좌 △명사초청강연 △전시회 △심포지엄 △학술대회 등의 인문 축제 등도 추진할 계획이다.

주낙영 경주시장은 “인문도시지원사업이 지역의 정체성을 살리고 경주의 공감정신을 되살리는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “이를 위해 경주 공감문화 상생플랫폼도시 구축을 통한 지역 인문학 생태계 활성화에 지속적인 노력을 기울일 것”이라고 말했다.
